| Nickname for David Tyree's catch For years to come, New York Giants fans will surely talk about David Tyree's most improbable catch against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. Joe Montana's touchdown throw to Dwight Clark for the San Francisco 49ers in the 1982 NFC Championship game is called "The Catch." Franco Harris' shoe string catch off a deflection for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Oakland Raiders in the 1972 playoffs is called the "Immaculate Reception." What's A Good Nickname For David Tyree's Catch? - Sports News Story - WNBC | New York A lot of people will be talking about this catch. It was incredible. They are having a contest to name the catch on the above site. If you have one, give it a shot. The best I can come with is "Whew!"

| Re: Nickname for David Tyree's catch I'll suggest what I yelled out when I saw the play in real-time: "Holy @#!!@ he caught it!!!" But you can't forget what happened right before that LED to that catch... "He got away!!!" "I can't believe it! He got away!!!" Then I made the "religious" comment above!
