That is so true!!! He WILL lament not having the 60" and probably talk about it and whine about it for at least a year!

OK, OK... In the interest of marital bliss, I think I should probably let him get the 60" Vizio if it turns out that our living room is large enough for optimal viewing. That is just an amazingly cheap price for that size. Then he'll complain about the "unbelievable deal" that I passed up (he knows I love a good deal).

my mom bought a 42 inch lcd visio @ wally world for 650 I believe, that was around xmas time though. I would go with a HD LCD more than a plasma, the plasma doesnt last as long as LCD, and the picture is pretty much the same, the difference is very minute..get a 60" HD LCD..cheaper and bigger..

I have heard that plasmas dont last as long also.
So you get him the tv he wants and he realizes you passed up on this other great deal just for him---just think you will have him where you want him for a long time to come.

LOL that is so true! I can totally work that to my advantage when my birthday comes along! And Christmas. Or maybe even Valentine's Day- but that might be a little too soon! Yeah I'll prob wait til the birthday.

Buy the TV because it's not like you're buying these every week and if you haven't seen the broadcast in HD, it's stunning especially with a HDMI feed!!!

Just don't expect stellar sound. For that, you're going to have to fork over some more ducat$ to get a decent sound system to compliment the TV. When you walk into the Best Buy or Circuit City and check out the sets, many of them are mated/paired with pretty good speakers so you end up walking away impressed but once you get the set home, you realize the sound didn't come with it!
