HOF candidates announced

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has released the names of finalists for 2008. The group includes, among others, Cris Carter and Darrell Green. Carter starred for the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles while Green was a star with Washington.
The other finalists are defensive ends Fred Dean and Richard Dent, linebackers Randy Gradishar, Derrick Thomas and Andre Tippett, guards Russ Grim, Bob Kuechenberg and Randall McDaniel, punter Ray Guy, receivers Art Monk and Andre Reed and tackle Gary Zimmerman.
A minimum of 4 candidates and a maximum of 7 can be chosen.

Carter, Green and Guy...possibly Bob Kuechenberg

I like Gradishar, Tippet and Thomas...but I don't think they will get in...

Monk was okay for a Redskin...Reed about the same both merit some consideration.

Guy should have been in ages ago. The sport is FOOT ball after all. Kuechenberg is a good choice as is Dent. None of the other gave me the feeling I was watching a Hall of Famer when they played.

Darrell Green and Ray Guy should be locks. The other guys, I could take 'em or leave 'em.

Yeah, add Monk to my list as well. I must've glazed over his name the first time. He's a definitely HOFer in my book too.
