2008 Poets & Pirates Tour Announces 13 More Stadiums
NASHVILLE - With the 2nd biggest tour of 2007 – behind the Police’s two decades in the making Reunion Tour – and over 1 million fans played to for the 6th consecutive year, Kenny Chesney wanted to do something even bigger for his 2008 Poets & Pirates Tour. Having enjoyed sell-outs in 6 NFL Stadiums as part of his award-winning Flip Flop Summer Tour, the three consecutive and reigning Academy of Country Music and three-time and current Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year is upping the ante: announcing 13 football stadiums, with possibly more to come.
“It’s amazing to me how much intimacy you can have in a place that big,” Chesney marvels. “But there’s something in those big shows you can’t get anywhere else: a whole other kind of energy. You feel those fans all the way to the top, and there’s nothing like it. And they come to have a big day with us, you can hear it when they sing ‘Back Where I Come From’ or ‘Anything But Mine.’ It’s a blast, and I can’t wait.”
His 4th in as many years and highly anticipated July 26th show at the New England Patriots’ Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. sold out in less than 15 minutes. Good friend and Grammy-winning multi-platinum superstar Keith Urban will be sharing many of the bills. Joining Chesney on all dates are Grammy-winning LeAnn Rimes and platinum progressive West Coast country star Gary Allan.

I love it that he's coming to the new stadium!!!! It's gonna be so much easier to get to and from Lucas Oil Stadium than it was Verizion! I hope I can go.
