2008 Top QB Free-Agents

Derek Anderson, RFA, Cleveland Browns
Anderson has been one of the biggest surprises in all of the NFL. He’s passed for 3,635 yards and has 28 touchdowns to 18 interceptions, while leading Cleveland to a shot at the playoffs.

Rex Grossman, UFA, Chicago Bears
There seems to be debate over Grossman on a regular basis. Many fail to believe that he will ever lead any team to a title, while others argue that he’s still relatively young and has shown flashes of greatness.

Daunte Culpepper, UFA, Oakland Raiders
Culpepper seems light-years away from the Pro-Bowl quarterback that he once was.

Josh McCown, UFA, Oakland Raiders
McCown hit the map with a decent 2004 season while starting 13 games for the Arizona Cardinals in place of the injured Kurt Warner.

Quinn Gray, UFA, Jacksonville Jaguars
Gray isn’t a special player by any means, but he could serve as an athletic backup somewhere in the league.

Other Free Agent Quarterbacks
Ken Dorsey UFA Cleveland Browns
Ryan Fitzpatrick RFA Cincinnati Bengals
Drew Henson UFA Minnesota Vikings
Cleo Lemon UFA Miami Dolphins
Jared Lorenzen UFA New York Giants
Jamie Martin UFA New Orleans Saints

2008 NFL Free Agents

they may all change teams .. but the Browns would be stupid to let Anderson go

You can take Dorsey off the list. He has already been signed by Cleveland again.

It is a sign that they are getting rid of one of them IMO. They would not need Dorsey if they keep both of them.

But, if they can't get a deal done for one of them, they can just dump Dorsey. He cna't have cost too much, and he has to be used to it by now.

it would be a shame to keep anderson there and have him back-up quinn. anderson is obviously starting talent. dont let it go to waste. even if it does maen tradin him to rival baltimore

That would be very funny. Cleveland picked him off the Ravens practice squad. They cut him because they didn't think he was good enough.

Well, they're listening to trade offers for Anderson, so... obviously they won't keep all three QBs.

On the whole, though, there's not a lot on this list this year.

The Bears should draft a QB in the first round, but they will need a bridge maybe a guy like Josh McCown or Culpepper.

Ryan is a top 10 probably top 5 pick. The Bears are sitting at 14th and probably looking at Andre Woodson.
