lately it seems college football coaches suck in the NFL ........... Petrino - Saban

so ... will NFL owners shy away from hiring them in the future ?

Petrino, Saban, don't forget Spurrier and Lane Kiffin. And you can even go back to Lou Holtz and Pete Carroll as well. Guys like Jimmy Johnson and Bill Walsh seem to be the exception and not the rule. College coaches still will keep getting hired, though, with owners hoping that their guy is the next great one.

just a little factoid, of the 32 current coaches only Kiffin and Petrrino were coaching at the collegiate level before getting their current jobs..though I agree with lefty, college coaches will still be hired in hopes they reverse the process..
