Is it just me, or are there more unwatchable games this year than there have ever been. For instance, this week - the 2 prime time night games- Colts vs. Ravens and Saints vs. Falcons almost had me searching for Knicks games to watch.

Its not just you Pundit. I was just thinking this a.m. that the quality of the teams and games this year is really really bad. I am looking ahead to a possible confrontation of Dallas and pats again and trying to decide which team has faced the more formidable foes. Dallas had Packers and Pats. Only teams Pats has faced that could give them a run for their money is Colts. Steelers should have been better. Teams like San Diego, Denver,Cincinnati, sometimes they show up and sometimes they dont. Bottom line is the whole NFL is really bad this year.

Yeah, it hasn't been the world's most exciting year.

A few good games here and there, but on the whole, the quality of play across the league is down (with a few notable exceptions).

you got manning,brady,favre,romo,brees and 27 other guys who are horrible.

I tend to place a lot of the blame on coaching. Even if there are only a handful of good teams, the talent should be spread around evenly enough that the games should at least be competitive. They have been very boring this year. Terrible play calling. Bad defense. It can't all fall on the players.

Especially when you think about teams that were really great before and have lots of talent on the roster-chargers, bengals, steelers, etc.

The biggest under acheiver would have to be San Diego IMO. They went from 14 wins to a disaster.

the chargers are an exception. the only roster change was ADDING chris chambers which was gonna make them MORE DANGEROUS. but AJ smith had to cancel such a smart decision by makin the stupid decision to fire marty schottenheimer. did tony dungy get fired the 1st time the colts got bumped in the playoffs in the 1st round? dont think bill cower did either so why would you fire marty? he only lost 2 games and he had the perfect players for his "marty ball", ya know run,run,pass,run,run,run, td, point after,kickoff,force 3 & out/force fumble,repeat....repeat. but norv wants to make philip rivers into tom brady or peyton manning and you cant teach that type of thing. if you notice everytime the chargers win a game it always mostly has something to do with 3 guys maybe u heard of em:ladainian tomlinson,antonio gates,shawnne merriman. and it seems like he doesnt wanna get them involved in the game.THEY ARE MVP's AND PRO BOWLERS FOR A REASON. and if notice lt dont favor norv too much. not good when you get hired and after week 1 the best player on the team already hates you. obviously philip rivers is goin through some things or somethin, but i think they missin drew brees right now.

I couldn't agree more. I can't even tell you the last game I watched all the way through this season. The T.V match ups are the worst I've ever seen, and they have been bad all season. I think this was the 4th week in a row that N.E has been on National T.V or cable. The NFC just stinks. IMO there is no one good team in the NFC. And like someone said, the QB play has been bad from a lot of teams. I've been watching football for a long time, and I can't ever remember feeling this way about a season as I have this one. Lets hope the playoffs are going to be better.

Also, has this been the worst fantasy season as well? RB's splitting time. RB's that were thought to be good turned bust, or didn't come on untill late. As said the QB play. TE's getting more catches than WR's. I'll be glad when this season is over.

no the playoffs will be boring to. why? cuz we already know who have a chance to win the superbowl. new england or indianapolis. they will crush their nfc opponent

I wouldn't even count out Green Bay. Favre could still have some magic in his arm. They will be dangerous with their passing game now that Grant is there to run the ball.
