FOX to have red-carpet arrival area for Super Bowl celebs

Fox will also create a red-carpet arrival area for celebrities attending the Super Bowl that will be hosted during the pregame telecast by American Idol's Ryan Seacrest. Movie companies buying in-game Super Bowl spots, as a value added by Fox, will be able to parade its stars of upcoming films on the Red Carpet and be asked a questions by Seacrest. -- Media Week

redcarpet arrival for the superbowl?
is this the emmy awards?

This news makes we want to throw up a little. Seriously. What has happened to football?

Is Joan Rivers going to be there too? My god this is stupid. This is football, not a bunch of men prancing around like fairies. A true football fan is going to be pissed about this.

That is sooooooooooooo crappy. And that is far from the word I wanna use. Maybe we should have an NFL gossip show, where we talk about their pesonal lives, or their softer side.

Then we could do a reality show. sickening. Maybe now they can do a six hour pregame. I don't tune in until about 30 minutes before ANY game anyway, and that includes the Superbowl.

Man I agree with you Phils. I don't tune into the Super Bowl until about 30 minutes before also. If I am watching anything, it's usually ESPN and def not Fox.

We should have someone critiquing the uniforms of the players to let them know what they need to do to be more fashionable. Preferably one of those guys from "Queer Eye For the Straight Guy".

Man this makes me want to puke.

Re: FOX to have red-carpet arrival area for Super Bowl celebs

just another reason to show how the NFL has become the money hungry organisation we hoped it would never become. i mean come on...red carpet? celebritys? the most action celebs get during the super bowl is a few seconds on the screen when a cameraman gets bored and finds them in their plush exec boxes or when they are talking about how their latest movie in no way relates to football becuase they want to plug it for free publicity.

i dont want to see the NFL becoming a "media whore". the game is great the way it is and like a billion people watch the game every year so why try and make it better...if it aint broke, dont fix it and all that. i mean lets face it, how many people are really THAT interested in the pregame show anyway? do you think trotting out a few celebs before the game is going to make people care anymore about the pre-game show...NO! why? becuase when you sit down to watch the Super Bowl you wanna watch FOOTBALL! not Paris Hilton falling out of a limo before the game with a whisky bottle in her hand

This is a cool idea if the players are the ones coming out on the red carpet on a bunch of dumb celebs
