Army Navy Game

The Army Navy Game is this weekend - always one of the best games of the year.

A little background about this game. Navy has a 51-49-7 all-time lead ing the series. According to Wikipedia, "It is one of the most traditional and enduring rivalries in college football, and is televised by CBS. It was in the 1963 Army-Navy game that instant replay made its debut. Navy won the most recent contest on December 2, 2006, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and with the win broke a Naval Academy record for consecutive wins against the other Service Academies with four winning years against both Army and The Air Force Academy."

I'm not the greatest follower of college ball but being an old swabbie I try to take this one in because of the great tradition of it. Anchors Aweigh boys !!!

Re: Army Navy Game

I always root for Army in this one, more so now since my son is in Iraq and a specialist in the Army. These are the last guys left in the college sport playing it the way it was meant to be played and for the right reasons.

Re: Army Navy Game

Navy's leading big time, 24-3, in the third quarter. As expected, Paul Johnson's team is just too strong for the Cadets.

Well, unfortunately, Army's been down for a while. They just can't seem to get it going. Still, as always it was an awesome game to watch.
