i was just watching Sports Center ....... and there is Steve Young running his pompous trap about the Patriots running up the score and how awful a thing it is ........ so i decided to do a little research .. and found out .. Steve Young just needs to shut the hell up

here are a few stats for you

Young finished the game by leading the 49ers to victory and then closed
out the season by throwing for three touchdowns and running for one
in a 52-14 win over the Chicago
Bears

Young
recovered and led the 49ers on a five game winning streak, capped
off by a 56-17 win over the Atlanta
Falcons.

The team
slipped to a 10-6 record, but advanced to the NFC championship game
again by blowing out the New York
Giants 44-3 in the divisional round.

As a result the
team advanced to the fifth Super Bowl in franchise history, and the
first under Young, which they won easily, 49-26, over the San Diego Chargers.

these are just a few memorable examples of Young running up the score ...... but i guess it's ok when he does it

simon, I know the whole running up the score thing bother you, but...

* In 1991, in the win against the Bears, Bill Musgrave (then a rookie) came in and finished off the game.

* According to a St. Louis Post Dispatch report of the 1992 game against the Falcons, "Later in the third period Young threw his third touchdown pass, an 11-yarder to Jones, who tossed the ball into the stands in celebration. Mercifully, Young and Rice then were removed..."

So just for the record, Young was pulled in both of those games.

The other two games were playoff games, not to mention that the Super Bowl final was hardly "running up the score".

I think you hit it on the head, here. This is why Belicek is doing this. Because he took so much crap for cheating, he's lashing out (like a little baby stoming his feet I might add), because he wants to show the league what he could do without cheating.
