| Giants Beat Dolphins In London ... Now Let's Go Home ![]() Look, I'm not one of those guys who says that the NFL should never play a game in a foreign land. I just don't think that it needs to be a regular season game. Nothing against London or Wembley Stadium, really. Or even the idea. The fans were kinda, sorta into it [though booing the Giants kneeling on the ball at the end of the game pissed them off]. And as I honestly expected, there was a streaker. But most in the crowd were Americans making the jump across the pond and the field was awful; I mean, who woulda thunk it woulda rained in England!?!?! It clearly affected the play on the field ... and we didn't send our best product out there. I know that owners get their jollies ripping the money out of fans with pre-season games at regular season prices ... but that's where this international stuff needs to go. We used to have those "American Bowls" in Tokyo, London, Mexico City, etc. Bring that back. Look at the NBA playing their preseason games in non-NBA cities. Do that. Go back to Germany with preseason games. Just don't place a real game there. Giants Beat Dolphins In London ... Now Let's Go Home - FanHouse - AOL Sports Blog |

All I know is, if your QB sucks so bad he can't execute a handoff to Larry Csonka, then you deserve to lose! I hate the kneeling crap...play it out like a man...if you fumble you fumble. I also hate the freakin Prevent defense. I hate "icing the kicker"... I hate teams not working the 2 minute drill before the half... I hate a lot of things!... |

| Re: Giants Beat Dolphins In London ... Now Let's Go Home the game went pretty well, i mean they did the stadium up as best as they could with signs and things for both team, more Dolphins stuff than anything else becuase it was a 'home game for them.' the field and inside the stadium looked very authentic from the Dolphins logo on the scoreboard to the jelly doughnuts being sold over the food counters most of the supporters were 'wannabe' supporters and seemed to be there for the game rather than anything else becuase every big play or hit was met with cheers or boo's. then that was capped off with a mexican wave, which oppitimsed how badly the support was. there was a sea of shirts from every NFL team and most of the Dolphins support unfortunatly came from 'Marino' fans which also leads me to believe most of the fans are not proper supporters of the game. the male testosterone was raised to alarming levels everytime the cheerleaders came out on to the field. unfortunatly the british mentality of 'avoiding the traffic' came into play as most of the fans began leaving with 4 or so minutes left in the game, which in football terms is ridiculous as most of the best moments in the game could come in the final 2 minutes all in all if you asked the majority of fans who played the better offense or defense i dont think they would be able to tell you. the game was good and it managed to attract an NFL record 81,750 fans. and even though i think they could get numbers like that every season i would say only 15% of the fans were proper NFL fans and the rest were just interested on lookers |

When did football turn into such a sissy game where we're discussing the "feelings" of the losing team?
