Exclamation 2007 Mvp

Yes, I am well aware that it is only WEEK 4, but i figure i'd start this now and see how things progress and change as the season goes on.... should be a good continuing thread.

Who are your top 3 MVP picks for the 2007 NFL season?

Re: 2007 Mvp

As of week 4, my three picks for MVP happen to all be QBs. Let's revisit this topic later in the season and see how these names change, if they do!

Tony Romo

Brett Favre

Tom Brady

Re: 2007 Mvp

Tony Romo-besides the obvious reason, he is the heart of this team. He is the one who gives it spark

Jon Kitna- we thought his boast of 10 wins was drug induced. They havent got the 10 wins yet but he is definitely the leader and his teammates trust him. This a whole new ball game for the Lions

Osi Umenyiora- only because he leads the league in sacks with 6. Darnell Dockett of Arizona follows with 5.5 They are the opposite end of the high flying quarterbacks. Good way to stunt the drive

It was either Osi or Brett. I couldnt leave Tony out.

for what? That incredulous scramble?? The rushing td?? the 339 passing yards? the qb rating of 115.6??
He has 81 more passing yards so far this year than Brady. May I point out that this is his first full year as a starter?

Kitna is ahead of them both.

Re: 2007 Mvp

Kitna, yeah, he definitely deserves to be in the discussion too. I think a lot of us are waiting to see how long he and the Lions can keep this up before committing to him too much, though. At least, I am.

Re: 2007 Mvp

For me, the way I determined who the MVP should be is when I ask myself: Which team will NOT win (or be as successful) without this player on their team?

Indy without Peyton Manning

New England without Tom Brady

Green Bay without Favre

Dallas without Romo

Right now, as of week 5, any of these teams losing the named player, will NOT be as good.
