Rachel Bradshaw, a featured cast member on Fox's new prime-time reality show Nashville, was a bit nervous about telling her parents about the part. "Every parent has a scare when their kid is going to do a reality show," she says. But when Rachel's father, Terry, counseled caution — "he was excited but said, 'Watch what you say and do' " — it was coming from a dad who'd taken some on-air chances. Like when he had a nude scene in the 2006 film Failure to Launch, when he told viewers of Fox's NFL studio show that "possum is the other white meat," and when, on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last week, he needed an on-air tip-off from the host that his fly was unzipped. Says Rachel, 20: "He did great on Leno. I take a lot from how he handles things." Nashville, which debuted last week and airs Fridays, is billed as a "high-drama docu-soap" about aspiring country music singers. Rachel, whose mother is Terry's ex-wife Charlotte Hopkins, has been performing since she was 10. And don't ask if her father's fame got her on the show. In last week's debut, viewers saw a weeping Rachel say, "People always go, 'Everything's about you' because of who my father is."
