Didn't see too many big names getting cut. I was a little shocked to see that Jax cut Leftwich. Just a couple of weeks ago they were saying on the radio that he was going to be the starting QB. I don't think Leftwich and Del Rio saw things eye to eye. I wonder if Atlanta will take a look at him?

Leftwich I guess wasn't a Del Rio "guy" so they were looking to get rid of his salary as well. No reason why the guy can't catch on with someone else. He just needs to stay healthy.

Other than Leftwich, the only surprises in my book were the Jets cutting Kimo Von Oelhoffen and the Chiefs putting Priest Holmes on the reserve/non-football injury list, which almost guarantees that he won't play this year. Guess they were just using him as a bluff against Larry Johnson.

Yeah Kimo was a surprise as well seeing that he played all 16 games last year. It looks like Holmes should just give it up. Like you said Lefty it looks like they were using him to get to LJ.

yeah i think the reason behind Leftwich being cut had to be becuase he and Del Rio didnt see eye to eye, i mean hes a good QB and i think he will slot in nicely in Atlanta or anywhere else where he would be the starter, i dont think he would be to happy with being the backup anywhere, anyone think that there is a little more to the story than a simple roster cut?

the most suprising Titans cut(s) were safety Lamont Thompson, the teams only defensive back over 6ft for the last 2 seasons and Courtney Roby, a reliable 'team' reciever (team meaning hes not a starter or back up but does well in 3, 4 a 5 reciever sets)
