85 bears, just a better offense really. Both had insane defenses but chicago IMO had a better offense

Great comparison. Both dominating defenses ruled the league in their era and won championships.

If the two teams played, I'd have to say the Bears would have won. Simply from the standpoint that the Ravens offense was brutal. Not that McMahon was a top tier QB...but c'mon, they had Sweetness.

Ditto, they need at least an offense...and the Bears had one...the Ravens, not so much.

Here is the diffrence imo. FEAR! Offensive players feared playing that 85 Bears team. I don't think that was the case with that 00 Ravens. For me, that will always be the factor that makes that 85 defense stand out, and makes them the best that ever was imo.

If the quality of offense is the difference between the '85 Bears and the '00 Ravens, wouldn't the quality of offense be even greater between the '78 Steelers and the '85 Bears?
