Brady Quinn Still Holding Out

i was looking over the last few first rounders who are still yet to sign their contracts for their respective teams and i wasnt to suprised to see Brady Quinns name in there. now everyone knows how ticked off Quinn was when he didnt go in the top 3, top 5, top 10 or even the top 20...so do you think this holding out is just sour apples and hes thinking "well i deserve as good a contract as a top 5 pick and even though i wasnt drafted there im still going to get the money for it"

i mean first rounders in particular hold out for more lucrative contracts every year but its situations such as the one Quinn is in that make you think hes just being a child and sulking becuase he wasnt taken higher...i mean Matt Leinart droppped a few places but he didnt go and sit in a corner and say "im not going to play with you guys becuase im better than you "

so is this Quinn being selfish? or am i reading to much into it?

Re: Brady Quinn Still Holding Out

We've had a pretty good discussion about this in the Browns forum.

What is Brady Quinn worth to the Browns?
Browns rookie QB says he has to make sure contract is 'fair'

I personally think he is asking too much, but not everyone agrees.

He seems to want top 10 pick money, and given where he was drafted, I don't think he deserves it.

Re: Brady Quinn Still Holding Out

I'm not suprised at all either. He's a pretty boy, who went to a pretty boy school, and pretty much didn't do nothing! The media made Quinn, and Quinn was drinking the koolaid. That's the truth of it.

The media gave you all that BS he's played under a pro offense under C. Weis so he's going to excell in the pros, (How many times have we heard that crap?) and he's a good looking kid, who went to a high profile school. What's not to like?

Well as I once heard someone say "you can't polish a turd". And that's Brady Quinn.

The 1st thing that hurt Quinn was that he didn't have a good game in the sugar bowl, and he was inconsistent in the regular season.

2nd was he didn't take part in the combine. Well he did, but he showed off his weight lifting skills instead of his QBing skills.

3rd was rumors were that he was hurt, and didn't have a strong arm. He did nothing to dispell those rumors. All this reflected in the draft.

Miami needed a QB, passed. Minnesota needed a QB, passed. It just wasn't the media that did Quinn in. Quinn did himself in as well.

Quinn's gotta deal with it. If Cleveland didn't trade up to get him, he would have been an early 2nd round pick looking at less money than he is looking at now. Just because someone projects you to go somewhere, that doesn't mean if you don't go where they said you would go, you are still going to get paid.

Shut TFU! Quit crying! And let me watch you be the bust I always knew you would be pretty boy!
