| NFL suspensions im wondering what has become of the NFL since Godell has come into power in terms of suspensions. since ive been watching the NFL ive heard of a few suspensions here and there for major things, the Lewis fiasco, Ricky Williams and his pot addiction, Albert Haynesworth tap dancing on peoples heads and of course more recently the Pacman and Chris Henry suspensions. but more recently it seems like everytime i try and read up on current stuff going on in the NFL there seems to be a fresh suspension being handed out...
so i ask, is this Godell trying to implement a 'no tolerance policy' on bad behaviour in the NFL? are the players going to become to timid to make big hits on the field becuase it might rattle them up and they might go and drink drive when they get off the field? or is this good for the game, giving a few players a slap on the wrist every now and then to keep the new young hoodlums and the stupid older guys in check?
and how long before this becomes a police/football league, where bad players are remotly ankle tagged or have constant surveilance on them? could this effectively ruin the game?
