NFL suspensions

im wondering what has become of the NFL since Godell has come into power in terms of suspensions. since ive been watching the NFL ive heard of a few suspensions here and there for major things, the Lewis fiasco, Ricky Williams and his pot addiction, Albert Haynesworth tap dancing on peoples heads and of course more recently the Pacman and Chris Henry suspensions. but more recently it seems like everytime i try and read up on current stuff going on in the NFL there seems to be a fresh suspension being handed out...

so i ask, is this Godell trying to implement a 'no tolerance policy' on bad behaviour in the NFL? are the players going to become to timid to make big hits on the field becuase it might rattle them up and they might go and drink drive when they get off the field? or is this good for the game, giving a few players a slap on the wrist every now and then to keep the new young hoodlums and the stupid older guys in check?

and how long before this becomes a police/football league, where bad players are remotly ankle tagged or have constant surveilance on them? could this effectively ruin the game?

I think goodell is the new sheriff in town and wants to show everyone whos boss. Hes been a little over the top with some penalties and new ideas but I guess hes done good so far..I think players will play and act the same as they ever have and it wont change things much..

Re: NFL suspensions

It doesnt look to me like they are changing their behavior. The stupid ones keep on doing the same things and the smarter ones keep shaking their heads.
