Best Player in the NFL

Who is the best player in the NFL right now? According to Pete Prisco of CBS Sportsline.com, it's Peyton Manning. "You'd be hard-pressed to find people -- outside the Boston area, that is -- who would argue about him owning this spot now," says Prisco, who ranks Tom Brady second, followed by LaDainian Tomlinson, Champ Bailey, Carson Palmer and Walter Jones. Who gets your vote?

Peyton Manning...Brady's teammates had a say in those 23 rings...

Can't argue with the top three...hard pressed to list Bailey forth though...

Re: Best Player in the NFL

I say LT. Last season he ran for 1800+ yards, received 500+ yards, threw for TDs and scord 30+ TDs. He is the best in the league right now.

Tom Brady for sure. He may not have had a great season last year but he didn't have any WR's. This year he is going to light it up again.

Re: Best Player in the NFL

lol take your pick:
Manning and Brady
LT and Shaun Alexander
Marvin Harrison and TO
Urlacher
Baily and Lynch
Vinatieri
Crumpler and Gonzalez and Gates
...i mean there is a long list, better question would be what is the best 'fantasy team'?

Re: Best Player in the NFL

In my mind, Peyton Manning stands out.

Off topic again, but Belichek stands out as the best coach for me. No matter who gets hurt or what, he puts a winning team together.

that comment epitimises Belichek exactly, in his 3 super bowl seasons he had pretty much no defensive backline or recievers or RB's or lineman and yet managed to win the super bowl 3 times. i mean how long were players playing defense and offense at the same time?? it cant be a coincidence that they all just adapted to their new positions, he did it, great coach and a hall of famer already

lol be patient vince...the time will come when that meaning is true, dont worry im sure the time will come when vinces name will be the first name people think of when they think of great NFL QB's. i mean at the moment from what we have seen of vince i think he will become a better all round QB but i dont think vince will ever be a better passer than peyton...becuase peyton is a girl and doesnt wanna get out of his little QB pocket

What's with this "He's a girl because he doesnt want to get out of the pocket" It doesnt appear to me that he needs to get out of the pocket.
Scrambling quarterbacks are fun, but the ones like Peyton that stay right there and almost always deliver are pretty impressive.

Re: Best Player in the NFL

yeah i see your point on that one Bette becuase there a lot of great QB's who never moved out of the pocket i just think that its nice to see a QB take off and gain a few yards or scamble around for a bit before finding his reciever rather than throwing it away, i mean imagen how many passes Manning would have completed if he scrambelled instead of throwing the ball away when he didnt see anything

Losman? Ha ha, can't tell you're a Bills fan at all.

I'm torn between LT and Manning as the best. All due respect to Brady, but he's at best third on my list.
