Talking Bob Harlan stays

Apparently in Green Bay if Brett isnt happy, there aint nobody happy. Do you think they will try to fulfill his wish for a wide receiver? Who is still out there? Maybe out of retirement???

Re: Bob Harlan stays

I am available, though I think at best I can run a 5.4 40 and my hands are suspect on the deep pass. Still, I can take a leave of absence from GTG to try out.

Hmm, assuming they can't get Keyshawn out of retirement, the pickings are pretty slim. You've got Eric Moulds, Travis Taylor, Antonio Bryant, Corey Bradford, Lee Mays, Keenan McCardell, David Patten, Willie Ponder and Terrence Wilkins as guys who are free agents without teams right now (at least according to ESPN). Bryant is a head case but has talent. McCardell has been good, but I'm not sure what he's got left in the tank. Patten might be a good gamble. He was good before he got to Washington. Taylor has been solid in spots. Moulds hasn't been good for a while, but he was once - can he be again?

I think I can take some of those guys...I am shifty and crafty... ...and did I mention the 5.4 speed?

Most of those guys are one year bandaides and I think Bradford played with them before...but I could be wrong.

The real question is, why not develop the future wideouts along with Aaron Rodgers?

I really like Favre, but man, it's time to start thinking of the future...those guys mentioned are all one year stop gaps...not sure that's the right move.

Re: Bob Harlan stays

AAh, but do they have any future wideouts to develop? Isnt it too late to look for that. Best they can do right now is a band-aid.

GDK send in your resume. You cant do any worse than what they have now. I dont think they will miss you too much at GTG

Sure, until we have another server issue like last night.

I am thinking I am good for 5-7 yard slants, but I am not catching them over the middle unless I get Calvin Johnson bread.

They need to continue to develop Jennings and they drafted that kid Jones. Ferguson is functional and Driver should be good to go, what is the problem?

I forgot about Jennings. I remember being impressed by him a couple of times last year.
Ferguson? Surely you jest.
Driver is all Favre has. He's good, not great. Brett wants to go out in a blaze of glory.

Maybe he can rob a bank? LOL. I mean if he wants to go out in a blaze of glory. Nevermind, forget I was here.

Didn't they get Baby Face Nelson's gang in Wisconsin? Or do I have my gangster history all wrong?

No, Nelson died outside of Chicago (Skokie I think), but you may be thinking of the battle he had with agents at the Little Bohemia Lodge in northern Wisconsin.

Favre deserves a better fate though.

Ha! I knew it. I was going to go look it up but I thought someone will have the answer. Someone who knows about gangsters. Probably GDK

Favre is a super quarterback. I have seen him in spots where I thought they got him now, but no, somehow, someway, he makes a play. If their season ends up like some of the last ones they have had, the gangster ending might BE better.
I agree, he deserves more.

Thanks GDK, Bette may not appreciate your gift for useless stuff, but I do. Oops. That does not really belong here. Okay, Brett Favre rocks cause he was in the movie "Something About Marry." Did that fix it? LOL.
