What if you tag them and then you like don't want them anymore?

If you cut them after, do they still get the money?

Like if they break a leg, or mistreat a doggie. Can you say, "Okay, we tagged you, but now, we really do not like you so much anymore. Please pack up your bags and give us back the nice shinny tag we stuck on you. Can you do that?

as far as i know a franchise tag contract is gaurranteed money ....... but there are usually ways out of it

if they pull a Vick you can void the contract as being actions detrimental to the franchise

How can some one prove you are detrimental? What if you are only midly irritating to the franchise? What if you bring in fans by being midly irritating like a bad pro wrestler (or a "heel" as they are called LOL).

thats the beauty of it ...... the definition is up to the team ...... if needed the Players Union will fight for the player and they will bring in an arbitraitor to settle it and decide who is right

this is football, it has nothing to do with boys calling girls or analogies there-of

i actually have a question i have wondered about for awhile ..... could test some of your research skills

the NFL has a salary cap ....... what happens if you go over the cap ?

i have never heard of that happening .... seems i always hear about teams scrambling to get under the cap and i wonder what's the worst that can happen ...... some of these guys are billionaires surely a mere fine cant scare them

i really surprised Jerry Jones or Daniel Snyder have never tried it to my knowledge, so what if they get a million dollar fine or something, it would be peanuts to them, seems it would be worth winning a ring

I can do better than give you a hypothetical - this actually happened to the 49ers.

As a result, the key front office figures were fined and the team was docked draft picks. I assume that punishment is the norm.
