| Re: Monday Night Football Doubleheader The MNF doubleheader sounds like a gimmick to get some extra publicity for the 1st Monday Night football game on ESPN. At least they were smart enough to have the 2nd game on the west coast. I don't think they'll make that a regular thing. I know that if I'm not excited about a Monday Nite matchup, I sometimes don't stay up for the whole game. Having a Monday Night Football doubleheader will probably be a little too much for me. That sounds like a good reason to buy a Tivo

Re: Monday Night Football Doubleheader Was there more than five quality Sunday/Monday night games all last year? I cannot recall which were entertaining but I remember they were scarce. As a luke warm NFL fan, the game generally has to be very intriguing or involve The Eagles or Bengals for me to watch. I am sorry, but I cannot watch a Niners-Packers-esque football game under the bi-lines of "It could be Favre's last Monday night game, in a warm climate out of division". I usually need more substance than something that convoluted. But I will tune in the first couple of weeks (regardless of who is playing) too hear Kornheiser's color commentary.

Re: Monday Night Football Doubleheader Very suprised Seattle didn't get one of the national opening weekend games. None of those games come across as extremely intriguing to me although I will still probably watch every one of them.

Re: Monday Night Football Doubleheader Let me just say that it was a dark day when there was no more Monday night football last season. And I can only think of a handful of games that I couldn't wait to get to the bar and get my T Bone special on Monday night. Monday night football is awesome and ESPN was smart to pick it up. I dont think that ABC took it seriously enough. Maybe that is why some fans don't think the games are exciting. ESPN will do a great job covering it.

Re: Monday Night Football Doubleheader Lefty, I hope you have Direct TV because I heard all of those Thanksgiving games are exclusively on The NFL Network. Does anyone know about this, because like I said, I just heard. If it is true, just another instance of The NFL thwarting that blue-collar contigency that they appeal to. This would give me even more incentive to side with the players on every contract and labior dispute (except Terrell Owens).

Re: Monday Night Football Doubleheader No Direct TV, but I get NFL Network on my Digital Cable System, so even if this rumor's true, its all good for me. But I hope its not the case... why would you limit your audience for something like this? How stupid would that be?

Re: Monday Night Football Doubleheader I think it is the late game on Turkey day that is on the NFL network but not the usual afternoon games. I would love to see them do the double header every week. I don't think that's the plan but the more they show the more I see without having to pay the crazy fee for Sunday Ticket. I cheer for teams outside my decided market area (which is still 3 hours away) so the more they show the more likely I see my teams!
