Eli Manning

I think Eli Manning should look for a new job.

He's got a good paying, highly prestigious one right now.

Re: Eli Manning

The kid has only played 2.5 NFL seasons. Hardly enough time to label him anything.

Re: Eli Manning

2.5 seasons is enough for plenty of guys to be labeled busts. Unfortunately for Giants fans, they will wait for much longer to come to the obvious conclusion.

Re: Eli Manning

How does a kid who has thrown 48 TDs in his second and third season get labeled a bust?...you are all nuts...(Legend excluded)...

Re: Eli Manning

I may be nuttier than everyone combined in here. He's a bust because so much was expected of him, being who he was and how he played in college. There is no Giants fan in here that truly believes they will win anything with this guy at QB.

Have it your way...You are nuts...find me anyone else with a better start in his first three years that at that point in his career is called a bust?...I guess Marcus Allen the great USC tailback was a bust as well, cause he neve measured up to his college stats...or hey, Bo Jackson never really got there...

Come on people, this is not the second coming of Ryan Leaf...

Speak for yourself.

He has shown he can play in tight situations. He just needs to be consistant. Hopefully his weapons can stay healthy for a full season, too.

Cool Re: Eli Manning

He's a bust because he is not accurate.

Re: Eli Manning

He's a bust because he's not accurate, he's not consistent, and he's a "wanna be" He had 48 touchdowns and Yeah, he tries, really hard. He wants to follow in his brother's footsteps and he will never do it. No matter who is around him.

Re: Eli Manning

Pundit...the object of the game is to move the ball and score...he does that...

Pundit:

But hey, if you want to be a blind follower of Walsh and his West coast dumps, who says "all QB needs to complete 62% of all passes"...then be my guess...I mean ignore the facts that he has raised his % from 48% to 53% to 57%...steady progress in 3 years...forget he plays in a major fish bowl and still throws 24 Tds a season...a blind follower is a blind follower...go your way in peace my man..

Bette:

If we measure all QBs on a Peyton Manning scale, there would be no league...but hey, see Pundit over there blindly getting into Walsh's West Coast band wagon?...I bet he will move over for you jsut a tad.

Empire:

You're okay man...way to stick up for your boy.

Re: Eli Manning

B-U-S-T!!! Legend is 110% right! You could have give Eli Manning 10 years to develop, he will still suck. Would the Giants have gone out their way to draft the Billy Ripken of the NFL if his last name wasn't Manning? Be honest now! Should have drafted Big Ben and kept the picks that make the Chargers the top team in the NFL!!!

Nuke-ster what am I going to do with you?

So a QB who is further along then HOF Terry Bradshaw (look at his stats over his first 44 games)...Ken Stabler...HOF Len Dawson (who sat for 5 years)...Namath (71 int his first three season at about 50%), Steve Young (a guy with a lifetime 64% complete was less than 54% over his first three seasons and backup) is a BUST?

Come on you guys...I know that ignorance is bliss, but find a better drum to beat...

Re: Eli Manning

Eli Manning is a good player, he just needs to be more consistent, and he can lead the Giants. He isn't a bust, his expectations were too high because he s Peyton's brother. Eli just needs a little more consistency.
