| Re: Harrington to CFL Tim Couch - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "After undergoing shoulder surgery in February 2005, Couch auditioned for the Chicago Bears midway through the 2005 season and the Cincinnati Bengals in December 2005. The Bears noticed his arm was not nearly back to NFL shape during their workout and subsequently did not sign him. The Bengals did not pursue Couch, although Jon Kitna was not resigned after his contract expired in early 2006. Couch participated in tryouts with the Tennessee Titans as late as January 2006. He has also been to work outs with the Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Houston Texans. All three teams have stated that despite good workouts, they are not interested in pursuing him. However, Tim Couch is already counted out for the 06-07 season, as he has had shoulder surgery again in late June of 2006. It will be at least until the 07-08 NFL season before Couch can attempt another comeback."

| Re: Harrington to CFL Depends who the rookie is, I guess... worked out well for Pittsburgh two years ago, and the Titans had a pretty good one last season. Yes, they were both first round picks, but Tom Brady wasn't. A rookie can come in and have success at the QB position. The bottom line in terms of Harrington is that coaches/GMs don't have any confidence in him, so they're not willing to shell out the money. So if he goes to the CFL and has a Flutie-esque season up there, it can only help his stock. |

I also think that coachs in the NFL are a bunch of followers...occasionally you get an innovator...a real thinker...but most of them play not to lose...instead of to win...someone comes up with the zone-blitz everyone wants to copy...someone comes up with a west coast O and everyone wants to succeed with it... I think in Joey's case is the same thing...oh he failed there and there...must be something wrong with the kid... I rather someone say..."those were the wrong systems for his style, but in my scheme he can..."... I mean, it is football they play in Canada right?...a bit bigger field...diff downs...but same game...what makes some CFL coach covet him and an NFL coach say no?...bunch of freakin followers if you ask me... |

To tell you the truth its a rumour and not a very good one. The Toronto Argos every season try to get a regonizable former NFLer into their line-up and this year they are trying to get Harrington. Expect it takes a while for a quarterback to grasp the game. If he comes up here for one season and one season only it will be a failure. Hes probable better if he doesn't. |

the Broncos can plug in seemingly any rusher for 1,200 yards a season because of their O-line Peyton Manning throws for 1,000,000 yards each season because of their O-line Harrington has spent his career running for his life........get this kid a good O-line and see what happens before you write him off totally
