A couple of days ago, Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports released his list of the Best NFL Free Agents in 2006. The list doesn't include franchise and transition players, nor does it contain players yet to be released.

His top 10 breaks down like this:
1. Drew Brees, QB, San Diego Chargers
2. Julian Peterson, LB, San Francisco 49ers
3. Edgerrin James, RB, Indianapolis Colts
4. Rocky Bernard, DT, Seattle Seahawks
5. LeCharles Bentley, C, New Orleans Saints
6. Jamal Lewis, RB, Baltimore Ravens
7. Charles Woodson, CB, Oakland Raiders
8. Aaron Kampman, DE, Green Bay Packers
9. Will Witherspoon, OLB, Carolina Panthers
10. Adam Vinatieri, K, New England Patriots

Now personally, I'd have Bentley and Vinatieri higher than they are, and I'd replace Jamal Lewis and Charles Woodson on this list with Mike Anderson and Lavar Arrington. What do you guys think?

I don't know Lefty, Anderson is a solid back and all, but Lewis is a gamble with a higher upside...and Woodson is a little worse for wear, but shut down corners don't grow on tree...

If there wasn't an element of risk to the list, these guys would be happy with thier new long term deals with thier team of last year...Except for my man Drew Brees...That's just wrong man...what did he ever do to get on the list except be 6'0" tall...
