Exclamation 2007 NFL Head Coaching Changes

Hey guys and gals can someone please list all the NFL head coach changes and possibly tell where each coach came from like whether he's from college or the offensive coordinator for so and so please? I'm getting confused personally. A lot of vacancies this year and changes. Also perhaps you can say why the guy is going to do well with his new team or not in your opinion. Even coaching positions that haven't been filled yet like the Cowboys. Thanks all!

Wow! Some of these are new to me. I was most curious about the Raiders and Dolphins. So which guys do you think will do well and which guys will flop? I think the Cardinals made a good choice.

I've never been crazy about an offensive coordinator at HC, because then they lack defensive abilities.

On the flip side Marc you could say that defensive coordinators lack offensive abilities although both Superbowl coaches were defensive coordinators so your arguement has creedence.

Re: 2007 NFL Head Coaching Changes

I can't believe the Raiders hired Lane Kiffin, USC offensive coordinator. He has no NFL coaching experience besides quality control managers at Jacksonville. And I don't even know what a quality control manager does. I think that was a stupid hire by the Raiders, but hey I'm not a Raiders fan so I don't really care.

Re: 2007 NFL Head Coaching Changes

You have to believe Kiffin impressed during the interview and detailed his plans and whatnot.

But is there any hope in Raider Nation right now?

Half-hearted hope. Their defense is young and stifling, but Al Davis is making personnel decisions still.

I'm sorry for being ill-informed I recently had a family tragedy but did the Cowboy vacancy get filled yet?

Not entirely. Jason Garrett's been hired as the offensive coordinator and may still get promoted to head coach. They've interviewed Wade Phillips and I think yesterday was when they interviewed Norv Turner. It most likely will be one of these three guys.

Cool Re: 2007 NFL Head Coaching Changes

Lane Kiffen was probably the only person on earth that would take the Raiders' job. Davis just wanted somebody that would be his marionette.

I would be surprised if Jason Garrett got the Dallas job. And I think Norv Turner would be a disaster. So I believe Phillips will probably be the guy.
