What is Superbowl XLI???

Football fans across the world, what has happened to the biggest football game of the year? I personally am excited. Two of my favorite teams in the NFL are meeting for what is sure to be one of the best superbowl games in history, but we're not hearing anything about the players or teams or the game. All that is in the headlines is how, for the first time ever, two African-American coaches are coaching the big game. Don't get me wrong, it is very important to recognize this accomplishment, but should the actual contest, and the players, and the organizations be a mere shadow to this. Huge accomplishment and milestone for both Smith and Dungy, but lets get back to the game, the competition, and the task at hand.....to play football and win a Superbowl!!!

I wouldn't worry about it. There's two LONG, GRUELING weeks of hype we're just beginning to enter. Every possible storyline will be talked, discussed, debated and stretched out.

I like the match-up but the thing I'd be thinking more about if the majority of Super Bowl talk being centered around Manning.

Cool Re: What is Superbowl XLI???

Empire is right. They'll cover everything that can possibly be covered. Personally, I find it all boring. I start paying attention Super Bowl Sunday about 6 o'clock.

Re: What is Superbowl XLI???

Yeah, before the hype machine wraps up, we'll know the name of the third string QBs dog and what the practice squad center likes to eat for lunch. The analysis and over-analysis is silly, especially considering the fact that the game rarely lives up to all the hype.

Re: What is Superbowl XLI???

Colts are seven point favorites, which I personally don't see justifiable, but those Vegas boys know a lot more than I do. All I do know is that line will come down by the time all is said and done.

Good theory, Legend.

It should be an interesting game, but my picks at the moment are uncertain.

Re: What is Superbowl XLI???

I think the line will stay where it is. If vegas didn't know the line would be around 4 1/2. I don't see the line coming down.
Colts will win in a big way.
