Bill Cowher Where Does He End Up Now

well Bill Cowher has resigned as coach of the Steelers, but i dont think many believe it is the end of his coaching career

my question to you is this.........if he comes back after next season, where does he end up ?

you have to take into account which teams suck now, but will probably give their current coaches one more year

who could need a coach next year ?

my candidates would be

Carolina......may be most likely if spot opens up as Cowher now lives close by

Dallas.............dont think Jerry would ever fire Bill, but i do think Bill will make next year his last

NY Giants.........if Coughlin comes back it will be do or die next year

Oakland.......yeah its a new coach now, but you never know with Al Davis....just ask Art Shell

Houston........the Texans are still under-achiving

Washington........dont know that Snyder could ever fire his idol Gibbs, but i think without playoffs next year Gibbs will leave

Tampa Bay.........with the QB position so unstable and the team not making the playoffs Gruden may be gone after next year

Cleveland..........will probably be do or die for Crennel next year

so, do you see one of these teams as the favorites ? or do you see a team i left out ?

Re: Bill Cowher Where Does He End Up Now

I favor Carolina over the other teams, but I don't know if Cowher is a massive upgrade over Fox.

Cowher is a very good coach, but I cannot put him in the coaching pantheon with the legends. Apart from the magical postseason he enjoyed last year, what is he going to remembered for during his tenure with the Steelers? Personally, I will remember him as an excellent regular season coach, but a subpar playoff one.

You have no idea who will do well next season so this is moot.

Just wanted to be the one who says that here

In six games over the Alex Rodriguez and the San Antonio Marlins, no less!

In all seriousness, I think Cowher all but drops off the face of the Earth for a year or two, maybe more.
