Re: Worst call ever? I seem to recall KC getting called for holding in a 1990 playoff game in Miami. It wiped out a Christian Okoye run that took Chiefs deep into Dolphin territory. Nick Lowery would up attempting a 52 yarder which was straight on but fell just short of crossbar as Miami held on for 17-16 win. Of course Chiefs did blow 16-3 lead in 4th.

Re: Worst call ever? I was responding to a thread on Roger Carr a member of the Colt teams that won 3 div titles from 75-77 (Bert Jones, Lydell Mitchell et al) and I was reminded of another bad call. Season finale 1977 Colts-Pats in Baltimore. Colts had to win to get into playoffs, otherwise Miami would have won division. Late in game Patriots lead 24-23 and Colts have ball. Jones is hit and appears to fumble ball and Pats recover. However ref ruled Jones down by contact. Replays clearly showed the ball came out before Jones's knee touched the ground. The reprieve allowed Jones to throw winning TD pass to Raymond Chester as Colts won 30-24.

Re: Worst call ever? Not sure of the exact year, I was just a kid. The Rams were at Minnesota for the NFC title game. On 2 consecutive plays late in the game Laurence McCutcheon clearly crossed the goal line and did not get a TD. Rams lost 14-10. My guess is this was 1974 give or take a year.
