Super Bowl Tickets

Super Bowl Tickets
No question about it - Super Bowl tickets are the Holy Grail of sporting event passes. That's because no other game, not the World Series, not the BCS Championship Game, the Stanley Cup or the NBA Finals, can come close to matching the essence and pagentry of the epic annual clash to determine the champion of the National Football League. Dating back in concept to the days before AFL-NFL Merger and originally known as the "World Championship of Professional Football," the Super Bowl itself has become an unofficial American holiday. It constantly ranks as one of the most-watched television programs of the year while also remaining one of the year's most festive days. But that's just for those who don't have the opportunity to secure seats to the biggest big game of them all, either through the NFL's ticket lottery or by purchasing them through a ticket sales agent. Mind you, because of the unique aura of the Super Bowl, it is most likely the hardest ticket in all of sports to successfully acquire.

The Super Bowl Tickets Lottery
According to the game's official website, the only way to actually get Super Bowl tickets through the NFL is by entering the ticket lottery. Most of the tickets are reserved for the two teams attending the game and for their players and season ticket holders. Select few are available to the general public, and those are distributed through a random drawing process. Anyone interested in getting passes for a Super Bowl needs to submit their name, address, phone number and email address via certified or registered mail to Super Bowl Random Drawing, P.O. Box 49140, Strongsville, Ohio, 44149-0140. Entried need to be received between February 1 and June 1 of the year preceeding the Super Bowl, and only one request per address will be accepted. The odds of any given person winning this ticket lottery are probably astromical, but it never hurts to try. After all, someone has to wind up with those Super Bowl tickets, right? Why not you?

Re: Super Bowl Tickets

Anyone here actually ever been to a Super Bowl? If so, which one, and what did you think of the experience?

Cool Re: Super Bowl Tickets

Aren't they really expensive? Like Hundreds of Dollars for the cheapest tickets? Personally, I'd rather watch the game at home. You supposedly have to get to the stadium a couple of hours early to get through security, and then it's usually a bad game. I go to my 1 Jet game a year, and that's more than enough.

Re: Super Bowl Tickets

There are a few great reasons why I like watching the game from my recliner. Virtually no line to the rest room. Hot dogs are much cheaper with no line to wait in. Beer is cheaper, colder and supply is limitless on SB Sunday. No jerk sitting next to you who is a loudmouthed drunk .. but wait ... maybe that's me ???
