Dear NFL: I never wrote a letter to a sports organization or league such as the NFL before. Although I now find I must do so regarding the issue of "Thursday Night" football on a weekly bases. I believe the league will at first take this Thursday game to the "Second Half" this season, then wind up doing Thursday on a full season schedule in a couple of years. I feel as many do, that the NFL has started down the slippery slope of watering down this great league, much like the NHL and NBA has done already. What will be next for our NFL? Could it be four more Wild Cards per conference? Will half of the teams in the league make the playoffs like they do in the other leagues? I am not naive to understand "Thursday Night" football is all about revenue enhancement for this league as it is the American way of life. I have no problems of the NFL moving these games to the NFL Networks either. (Although Gumbul is NOT a sports broadcaster by any means.) Further, I have no problem as a season ticket holder with the NFL starting down the road of "Flex Scheduling" in certain cases. I have no problem of holding my nose while you move my team from a 1 PM to 4 PM kickoff or even moving my team back to 8PM for a Sunday game if need be. But I feel compelled to tell you that "Sunday Football" was one of America's last sacred grounds that have now been taken away by the NFL. While I and for that matter much of America in whole, feels that we must continue to have Thursday football for Thanksgiving Day (Which is an American Tradition), we cannot have this continue as a weekly event for the rest of the year. Sometimes Corporate America must suck it up and do what is right for our Country and find a way to make their bucks in other ways. (Not that it will affect the NFL revenues in any way, BUT......), I could consider canceling my season tickets as I traveled many miles to get to the game on Sunday after a week of work. The NFL moving games to Thursdays will now effect me leaving work and such, further the NFL and Thursday games have now taken the spirit of football away in my enjoying my season tickets. With former respect to America's League and Game, Jim

Re: Thursday Night Football (Sent to NFL Offices) Welcome to the GoTeams Fan Forum, NYPDIrish. Even though we are one of the most popular sports forums on the web, I doubt that the NFL administration will look at this letter. However, it would be your best bet to contact them via e-mail using the information provided on their web-page. I agree with you, though. Monday and Sunday Football. Where does Thursday fit in?

Re: Thursday Night Football (Sent to NFL Offices) I am thinking that a Thursday night game may not be a bad thing. We are used to our traditions of having Sunday and Monday Night Football, but I think a Thursday game would be good for possibly expanding the playoffs. I think that they should expand the playoffs to have four division winners and four wild cards for each conference. They could eliminate the first round bye and the division winners can host the games.

Re: Thursday Night Football (Sent to NFL Offices) this isnt good, especially if it's not on TV most of us have. I fear this will become like the NBA, and lose it's specialty because of more games on thursday and saturday.,..I hope they read it
