| Trent Green has been medically cleared to play Sunday, but Herm Edwards is keeping it a secret if Green or Huard will start against Oakland. Huard has played exceptionally well in Green's absence, going 5-3 as the starter and keeping the Chiefs in play off contention. Should Green, the Chiefs recognized leader , rusty after being out of action for 10 weeks, get his job back? I hate to see a guy lose is job due to an injury, but Huard has been getting the job done in Green's absents... I'm torn on this one and don't envy Herm Edwards having to make this call.

| Re: Green or Huard to Start??? Huard had a bad game on Sunday, which may make the decision easier for Edwards. The hot hand is no longer hot, so putting Green back in could be justified. That said, I personally would stick with Huard, because of how well he's played overall during Green's absence.

| Re: Green or Huard to Start??? As much as I hate a two QB system, maybe Sundays game against the Raiders would be a good one for Green to have the chance to get his "sea legs" back, playing in the 2nd half, depending on the score, of course. If Huard contiues to falter, the for sure get Green back in there ASAP. |

| Re: Green or Huard to Start??? I hate the whole can't lose your job to injury thing. It's idiotic. Sure it sucks somebody got hurt but they might not be necessarily be the same player when they come back. If they are the best player when they come back then yes, if not no, stick with the guy that is winning. In this case however I believe defenses have wised up to Damon Huard and Trent Green is the best option for this team. Quote:

| Re: Green or Huard to Start??? Now I'm curious to see if he plays the entire game or does he get yanked as soon as he fumbles, tosses up an INT, or gets sacked (unlikely from the Raiders). Could this be another one of those Rothlesberger things??/ |

| Re: Green or Huard to Start??? Guys, it's not like Huard is a young guy. He is 33! and never strayed far from the bench his whole career. Look at the decline in Larry Johnson, who I think is the game's best running back or at least in the top three, in his yards per carry from last year. Without the threat of Green in the lineup, teams have been able to concentrate on Johnson and dare Huard to beat them. He is beginning to be exposed, and now that Gonzalez is out, it will just get worse. Did he do a good job? Yes. Is it time to sit back down? Yes.
