Bush, Drew-Jones or Maroney?

So who is the best rookie runner this year?...While I like Bush overall for his pass catchnig skills....his running has not been impressive.

Stats:

Bush 70 carries 210 yards 3.0 avg 0 Td

Jones 62 carries 264 yards 4.3 avg 3 Td

Maroney 91 carries 335 yards 3.7 avg 1 Td

I think Maroney is the better long term runner...but I have been suprised by Drew-Jones.

Cool Re: Bush, Drew-Jones or Maroney?

Bush has been disapointing. Right now I'd call Maroney and Drew-Jones even. How's that for whimping out?

I wouldn't say Bush has been disappointing, especially for starting behind McAllister.

Overall no...as a runner yes...he is averaging 3.0 yards a carry...among the worse for rookie runners...

Hey, Goth, hate to be an instigator, but where's Wali Lundy in this discussion? In just 4 games he has 54 carries for 266 yards, good for a 4.9 average. Granted, he only has 1 TD, but he's done all of this behind a pretty lousy Houston offensive line, and he's only fumbled the ball once this season. I'd say his name needs to be thrown into the hat as well.

Maroney and Washington are the best of this bunch, now and in the future.

Good point, lets throw Wali in the mix...sure looks like maybe Texans did okay to pass on Bush after all...Wali was a late rounder or undrafted all together...and he has been a gem.

So, you are crossing off Reggie Bush for the future now too?

The Jets are amazing. Washington is on the Jets, so therefore he is amazing. That is a little snippet of Aristotle's Logic Theory for you.

Re: Bush, Drew-Jones or Maroney?

Maroney's the real deal, and when the Pats finally send Dillon packing, he will be getting all the carries. The great running backs usually hit the ground running in the NFL, and I'm not seeing that from Bush.

I still like Corey Dillion from his days back in Cincinatti.

Are you deducing that Washington is great based on logical consequence, in which there is the necessity of Washington being great if the premises that Washington is a Jet, and all Jets are great, hold true?

What if not all Washington's are Jets?...Or worse, what if the Jets have been shutout by Jacksonville (0-41), and Jacksonville has been humbled by Houston (7-27), and Houston is in last place in the South...does not the premise that the Jets are great become false then? Given that this statement may indeed be false, would it not follow that the assumption that the Jets are great be rendeered false?...At which point in time, even if all Washigtons are indeed Jets (by trade or free agency), the chances that any one Washington is great by simple fact that he is a Jet, no longer holds true. Right?

I think your statement might better be suited under "Marc's Fallacy of the Application of Logic to NFL greatness...

Re: Bush, Drew-Jones or Maroney?

How about this one, Gotham Dark Knight.

I am a GREAT Jets' fan.
I support the GREAT Jets.
Leon Washington is on the GREAT Jets.
I support Leon Washington the GREAT.

Hopefully, this one prompt a confusing response from the peanut gallery.

....clearly you have correctly disassociated the word great from the words Jets, and Jet's fan...a step in the right direct...walk toward the light Marc, wlak towards the light...there is still hope...
