Re: Most Underrated Player In The NFL

I'm going with Kyle Orton here. Broncos are 5-0 and he is coming of a 330 yard passing game against the Patriots.

I said Ricky Williams. All I heard about Monday Night was Ronnie Brown. He's not the only player on the team.

Re: Most Underrated Player In The NFL

I like my boy Sproles...little guy (5'6") can break a game open if given a chance...plus he's on my fantasy team were kick return yards count

Having said that, Leon Washington is a really nice all purpose back...

Orton was asked to do too much as a rookie, and may just be finding his groove now...

Ricky Williams had his day...I think I remember him carrying the ball over 40 times in a Miami game once...but he ain't that back any more...

Williams had that really impressive 60 yard screen pass. He has done more than that this season though.

Re: Most Underrated Player In The NFL

I'll cast my vote for Ike Taylor. He has bad hands and therefore a lack of interceptions, which has kept him out of the Pro Bowl. But that said, he is all the same one of the best cornerbacks in the AFC.

It's all about Andre Johnson - speed, power, hands. The dude is just gross, and he is still not a household name.

Re: Most Underrated Player In The NFL

I'd have to say Aaron Smith from Pittsburgh has been the most under rated player for the better part of the past 4-5 seasons, the #1 reason why the Steelers run defense has been at the top of the NFL last few seasons, but they're d end rotation has been good so far, now that he's out. But now i'll go with Philip Rivers, he worries me when he plays the Steelers, he's very unpredictable.

Re: Most Underrated Player In The NFL

Im loving all the love for Kyle Orton. It amazes me how much his real talents are masked and how people don't see the real QB he is. I have watched him EXTENSEVLY over the past 5 years....I am a Bears fan. In fact I have only missed 2 of his games since he came into the NFL. He is slightly above a game manager and considerably below a pro bowl caliber player. If I had a team with a very good defence along with good WR's and a good O line, then having Orton as my QB I would not mind, but if you dont have that then he will be exposed. heres a little stat for everyone: In all of Orton's career starts, his defenses have held on average opponents to 13 ppg. 13 ppg!!!.....It's not to hard to have a winning record when your D's are stellar.
