| Quarterbacks who hold ball too long Consider that the internal clock a quarterback must have--while the timing can depend somewhat on whether it's a four-man rush or an all-out blitz, in general if a quarterback holds the ball for more than three seconds, he's in trouble. If he gets rid of it in less than 2.5 seconds, he will rarely find himself on his back. | Re: Quarterbacks who hold ball too long First off I live in Steeler Country so I have some bias. But I'll say Big Ben holds the ball too much. Granted, it happens to be his style and he likes to scramble, so I won't say it's the worst thing he does, but being 2-2 for a defending Super Bowl team says that they aren't firing on all cylinders yet. And if I'm not mistaken, Ben was the most-sacked QB last year. Still won XLIII, though... |
