With Troy Polamalu down, another victim to the curse, I have to ask, does anyone else believe in it?

2000- John Madden on the cover, with Barry Sanders in the background. Barry Sanders shocked NFL fans by abruptly retiring that season.

2001- Eddie George- Bobbled a pass that was intercepted and brought back for a touchdown in the season ending divisional playoff loss to the Ravens. The next season was hampered by injuries and his rushing yards sunk to an all-time low.

2002- Daunte Culpepper- Struggled that season to give the Vikings a 4-7 record before a knee injury put him on the sideline for the last 5 games.

2003- Marshall Faulk- Plagued by an injured ankle, rushing total dropped under 1,000, Rams missed playoffs with 7-9 record.

2004- Michael Vick- Suffered a fractured right fibula from a preseason game one day after Madden 2004 hit the shelves. He played in only 5 games that season and later in his career was arrested for dog fighting.

2005- Ray Lewis- The season before had a career high 6 interceptions, the season on the cover of Madden he had 0, he also sat out the last game with an injury. The next season he tore a right hamstring and in the sixth game and missed the rest of the season.

2006- Donovan McNabb- The Eagles made 5 straight playoff appearances before McNabb was on the cover. He suffered a sports hernia in the first game of the season. He played through but after a re-injury he decided to go for surgery and missed the final 7 games as the Eagles finished last in the NFC East.

2007- Shaun Alexander- Led the Seahawks to their first Super Bowl appearance with his 5.1 average yards per carry. Alexander broke his left foot 3 weeks into the NFL season. Since then he has been dropped by Seattle. he has been signed and dropped by another team aswell.

2008- Vince Young- Hurt the quadtricep in his right leg. He had to sit out the next game. This marked the fist time in his career, including middle school, high school, and college, that an injury kept him from playing.

2009- Brett Favre- The Jets didn't make the playoffs as Favre blew it in the final few weeks.

2010- Troy Polamalu/Larry Fitzgerald- Polamalu is hurt, Fitzgerald is next I suppose.

I believe that season with McNabb on the cover was rough

I dont really believe in curses and such, but it seems in the game of football, anything is possible.
It is really weird.
