Have the lions made any significant off season aquisitions to turn this team around? I know they got Stafford but he gonna be on his back the whole season if they didn't beef up the D line if he even is the starter. From looks of the schedule I give them 3 maybe 4 wins. Any thoughts or am I way off?

No, I think you're right. And if they're smart, they won't even play Stafford this year. Improve the rest of the team first.

They couldn't be worse than last year. I do think they should have tried to pay a king's ransom to get Belichick.

Stafford won't start at least the first half of the season, and probably shouldn't start til next season.

Beef up the o-line in the offseason via free agency and the draft, then start him next year.

I tend to agree. As much as I want to see Stafford start being a Georgia fan I don't want him to lose confidence by playing behind a poor O line. I think Culpepper still has enough left to be effective. It won't hurt Stafford to sit a year

I figure it worked for Carson Palmer, it would work for anybody.
