| Michael Vick Reinstated New York — Michael Vick was reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday and could play in regular-season games as early as October. Vick can immediately participate in preseason practices, workouts and meetings and can play in the final two preseason games — if he can find a team that will sign him. A number of teams have already said they would not. "Needless to say, your margin for error is extremely limited," Goodell said in a letter to Vick. "I urge you to take full advantage of the resources available to support you and to dedicate yourself to rebuilding your life and your career. If you do this, the NFL will support you." | Re: Michael Vick Reinstated You could see Michael Vick go down hill in his career as reports of misbehavior went up. If he stays straight and clean and out of troublesome spots, he might be able to play again. I'm not sure he can. As for those teams who said they werent interested in him, ha! They will be first ones in line. Someone will take a chance. NFL isnt particularly noted for its intelligent decisions some times when it comes to risky players. He was very exciting to watch and I was devastated when he went out in his second season.

| Re: Michael Vick Reinstated I've never really liked Michael Vick, and that goes back to his first year with the Falcons. I thought then he was not a team player, and my judgment was pretty much proven correct. Having said that, sometimes when things happen that humble you like Vick's problems should have done, you come back a better man. Let's hope that's the case for him, both as a person and as a quarterback in the NFL. |

| Re: Michael Vick Reinstated Ok, Ok I really hate what he did, killing dogs is about the wose thing you could do in my mind besides killing people. But he paid his debt to soicity he should have the right to play after his suspention, but my question who would want as QB? Sportcenter showed a highlight package while I think Mortenson was talking about him and he didn't a throw a whole pass in the entire video package. I could see a team like the Raiders taking him with a shaky starter like Russell and Garcia. Than he could return punts, do the wildcat, or be a reciever, what the hell do the Raiders really have to lose at this point. But a more intreauging possiblity for Vick, the UFL, they have like a six game season, he takes around a million dollars he plays against the less than great competition in the UFL, he either proves he's in shape and gets a much bigger NFL contract in 2010 than he would've if he came right back. He can play right away because it's not in the NFL. Or he busts and no one signs him

Honestly this may seem a little out there but I could see him playing for the Patriots. Belichek loves to bring on the troubled yet talented types(dillion and moss), Belichek also loves athletes with great versatility(Vick to a T) not to mention their in need of a veteran backup QB just in case Brady gets hurt again due to the fact that all they have is O'connel who has potential but would get eaten alive if he had to play this year. I dunno just got this feeling that NE would be a good fit for him. |

| Re: Michael Vick Reinstated If Pac Man Jones can get picked up after all the junk hes gotten into im sure Vick can he deserves a 2nd chance he was never that bad of a player he was always nice and happy during the interviews and just made a big mistake if he screws up again we can all hate him for it

| Re: Michael Vick Reinstated Poor Michael Vick. I guess the guy's still in the dog house. Oh, come on. Somebody had to say it. And for one, I hope that the guy stays there. I'm not saying that the guy should'nt have been released from prison. But I don't think I want to see him on any NFL team ever again. |

| Re: Michael Vick Reinstated I just don't get the whole "paid his debt to society" line. How many recently released felons in other lines of work instantly return to the top of their respective fields? Is it unfair to ask if someone has a criminal history on a job application because they have done the time? Being truly accountable for your actions takes a lifetime. I'm not opposed to him playing this year, but when people talk like he is entitled to play, it is crazy to me. I hope he can find some way to support his family (the UFL comes to mind). |
