The Florida State women's basketball team finished the 2006-07 season 24-10 and advanced to the program's first Sweet Sixteen and the Seminoles now add yet another "first" to their resume. Florida State was listed No. 19 in the final USA Today/ESPN women's basketball coaches' poll, marking the program's highest national finish.
In the 2000-01 season, Florida State finished the season at No. 25, the first-ever final national ranking for the Seminoles following the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1990-91.
The No. 19 ranking also matches FSU's highest-ever national ranking. The Seminoles were ranked No. 19 in the Coaches' Poll back on January 25, 2005 and reached that mark back on March 6, 1983 in the AP Poll.
