MIAMI -- Now that Jeff Conine is officially an "Ironman," could he soon add the title of "special assistant?"

Since completing the Ford Ironman World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, on Oct. 11, Conine has been in discussions with the Marlins regarding a position as a special assistant with the organization.
