| Fan steals hit from Cabrera Forget Steve Bartman, there's a new fan interfering with the success of his favorite team - Florida Marlins fan David Fridkin. According to the Associated Press, "With the Marlins leading Cincinnati 4-2 in the sixth inning, Miguel Cabrera hit a drive to deep right field. Fridkin leaned over the wall and caught the ball in his Marlins cap, intercepting it before right fielder Norris Hopper had a chance to make the play... Umpires ruled Cabrera out because of fan interference. Fridkin, who said Cabrera was his favorite player, was ejected from the stadium." Some fan, eh?

| Re: Fan steals hit from Cabrera I hafta believe for the most part that these fans do this with no thought of what effect it will have on the game. The first thing that would come to my mind is "I've got a chance to catch a ball from Miguel Cabrera". Everything else at that point in time is meaningless. After it happens, then it's "Oh shoot " time.
