| Kevin Gregg The Florida Marlins will keep P Kevin Gregg in the closer's role, according to the Associated Press. "Kevin's going to be the guy who is going to be closing for us," Florida manager Fredi Gonzalez told reporters on Thursday. "I think he deserves that opportunity." Gregg is 6-for-6 on the season in save opps, so it sounds like a smart decision to me. What do you think?

| Re: Kevin Gregg Yeah, I guess the guy who was the closer before Gregg took over is back (must've been injured), but they're keeping Gregg in the role anyway. Guess I left some of the details out, sorry. Bottom line is they like Gregg as the closer. |

| Re: Kevin Gregg Gregg has had an ERA over 4 in his each of his three full years in the majors... but this year, he's been very solid. He's pitched 31 innings, allowed 7 earned runs, and has a 3 to 1 strikeout to walk ratio. If he keeps this up, he might as well replace Henry Owens (?) as the Marlins' closer. |
