Dan Uggla rookie record

Dan Uggla of the Florida Marlins has set a record yesterday against the Braves. Here's the details.

Uggla sets major league mark as Marlins topple Braves
The Sports Network

Atlanta, GA - Dan Uggla belted a two-run home run to lead the Florida Marlins past the Atlanta Braves, 6-4, at Turner Field.

Uggla's home run was his 25th of the season, setting the major league record for most home runs by a rookie second baseman in a season.
Nice milestone for Uggla. Is he the NL Rookie of the Year, in your view?

Re: Dan Uggla rookie record

There's no question he's the NL Rookie of the Year. He's come from literally know where to being one of the best 2B in the NL.

It's amazing that no rookie 2B has ever hit 25 HRs before.

Re: Dan Uggla rookie record

Another familiar second baseman, Alfonso Soriano, spent most of his time with the Yankees on the bench. He was usually slotted into the 9th batting spot which really cuts down his at-bats. With a sudden breakout a few years back, he is suddenly considered one of the best 2Bs in the league next to Chase Utley.

By the way, I don't care if Soriano plays out in left field because he is really a core second baseman at heart.

Yep...ROY...especially playing for the Marlins...In the words of David Ortiz...look at the Yankee batting order and then look at Uggla's
