How good is Tim Tebow going to be

I was watching a little of the Fla/Vandy game, and have been impressed with Tebow. He is over half of the teams offense just about every week. Teams know this and still have trouble stopping him. He runs his own play action passes. He puts his head down like he is going to run the ball, then pulls up and throws it. He has scored 5 TDs already today. He isn't much of a passer....most look wobbly, but he is effective. Does he go to the NFL and have a good career....and if so as QB or RB?

Re: How good is Tim Tebow going to be

I think he is overrated. As you noticed his passes tend to be end over end and without the receivers making some great plays he would be even less effective. As far as running - he is not going to be able to sustain the run game in the SEC - he will get killed over the course of a season.

His stats are fluff - Meyer kept him in games when the outcome was well in hand and had him going deep when Fla was up by huge numbers. Coaches have long memories and Meyer will get his due.

Pro career - kind of early but my hunch is no as a QB - in fact I can't see him playing in the pros. He is not a RB or FB, not such a good passer - wonder if he can block

I will not be surprised if one of the two freshman QB's beat him out next year. They are both studs - one can run like a deer and the other passes like a pro - should be fun to watch the QB shuffle at Fla. Maybe Tebow moves to TE.
