Tebow: Shoulder wasn't to blame

http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/222/story/163522.html

Georgia harasses sophomore all day

Georgia had heard more than it cared to hear about Florida quarterback Tim Tebow. So the defense made sure to deliver a point that they had heard enough of Tebow. (Robin Trimarchi / rtrimarchi@ledger-enquirer.com)

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --

BY TROY JOHNSON

----
Florida sophomore quarterback Tim Tebow took inventory of the damage sustained by himself and his team in Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.
Which hurt worse?
The bruised right shoulder he sustained last week against Kentucky or the emotional scar inflicted by Georgia Saturday night?
Without a doubt, the numbers on the scoreboard replaced that tender shoulder as Tebow's most nagging sore spot.
"It hurts a lot," said Tebow, a native of nearby Ponte Vedra who attended Florida-Georgia games as a child.

I see where the Dawgs sacked him 6 times yesterday. Great job putting the wunderkind under pressure.

That was sweet - I am more than a little tired of the talking heads (TH's) gushing over the mighty Tebow. He is good but hardly superman - Meyer let him run up his stats against two really weak teams.

The TH's never shut up about his shoulder during the game well he still had his legs Georgia just took his game away with relentless pressure - sacking him more in one game than he had been sacked in all the previous games combined - shoulder my butt

Come now, not that I care one way or the other, but if the kid is sitting on his butt for part of the game because of sacks, its hardly his fault...haven't seen the QB who could win a game throwing from a sitting position.

GDK I'm trying to figure out what you are talking about. My point - Tebow is not superman. Meyer has padded his stats in three blowout games Take those away and he is simply a pretty good QB - nothing more nothing less. Look at his results against three top tier SEC opponents (Auburn, LSU & UGA) - Ofer.

I'm just tired of the announcers gushing - all you hear is Tebow this and Tebow that - lets see what he does against good teams over a couple of years. My guess is he will get beat half to death if Meyer keeps running him like a TB. The SEC is full of very big very fast defensive players - that will take a lot out of the kid over the course of a season.
