During the postgame celebration in Florida's locker room Saturday night, Percy Harvin made a special thank you to one of his teammates.


The first person Harvin thanked following the Gators 59-20 win was injured teammate Andre Caldwell.

"I have to give him the credit," Harvin said. "When I came here, he taught me everything. So, I kind of played for him today."

Caldwell, Florida's senior receiver, missed Saturday's game with a sprained knee ligament. It was Harvin who stepped forward to fill the void.

Harvin rushed nine times for 75 yards and a touchdown and also caught four passes for a game-high 120 yards. It was a special performance from a sophomore who was slowed by Achilles' tendinitis during preseason camp and into the first two games of the season.

"I think you witnessed one of the best players in college football in Percy Harvin," Meyer said. "He's healthy now. He practiced, had a full week of practice and he's a warrior. A coach doesn't find one like that all the time."

Harvin's explosiveness was felt all over the field Saturday. His most impressive catch was a 49-yard completion from Tim Tebow midway through the third. The play came with Florida backed up at its own 1-yard line. Tebow faked a run on the play, stepped back and lofted a high pass for Harvin to run under.
