Florida coach
Urban Meyer is always looking for ways to create opportunities for his playmakers. He's formulating a new plan for Percy Harvin after witnessing two game-changing plays in the return game in other games Saturday night.
Meyer said there's a good chance Harvin will make his debut as a kickoff returner Saturday against Troy.
"I talked to Percy about potentially being a kickoff return guy after watching some of these other guys," Meyer said Monday.
After star wide receiver Andre Caldwell broke his leg returning a kickoff against
Tennessee early in the 2005 season, Meyer has been a little gun-shy about putting his top offensive skill players on the kickoff return team.
He seems to have changed his stance after seeing two huge returns Saturday night:
- All-America wide receiver DeSean Jackson's punt return for a touchdown that ignited Cal's big win over
Tennessee.
