Urban Meyer on Gators - Vols rivalry

Even though he's fairly new to the Florida Gators - Tennessee Volunteers rivalry, it looks as though coach Urban Meyer already knows just how important this series is. "This is a great matchup. This is what college football's all about," Meyer told the Associated Press. "This is why you get up in the morning and shave and go to work and take care of yourself. You want to coach and play in games like this." He coached the Gators to a win last season; can he do it again in 2006?

Re: Urban Meyer on Gators - Vols rivalry

I think he knows, but I don't think he is as good as people say, The guy came from Utah were some high school teams could beat teams that Utah played. The SEC is not a play ground and you have to play the people you have and you have to play your stars. His Off. system sucks and hurts UF in many ways, I know they won tonight but it was luck and it is sad to see a team as gifted as UF go to waste.

He needs to let Leak play his game and stop playing this overrated Freshman QB. People don't know but Leak hold a lot of Records in the SEC and NCAA and he still have to fight week in and week out please. If Leak played any where eles he would be a superstar and could play without looking over his shoulder.

Say what you want but UF will be at the bottom of the SEC and people will see you can't run a high school off. againt teams in the SEC. The SEC is one of the best Football Conference in the ncaa.

Well, say what you will about Meyer, but after yesterday he's just the second Florida coach to start his career with back-to-back wins over Tennessee. That's got to count for something, right?

I guess UT wanted him to feel at home in the SEC. A little house-warming gift for the new fellow. I mean, it was a gift right? UT had it for 3 quarters, then gave it away.

I guess they should start calling the game when the home team has a lead after three quarters. That was not a gift, Florida earned that one in a hostile enviroment.

Florida outplayed us, but we would have won if the o-line decided to play.

Well I don't know if UF out played UT, but I can tell you if Stoops can cry about calls UT should cry about the touchdown being call back that change the game.
