Cool Owens and Moss

In one of my money leagues, I played team that had them both. He beat me by over 100 pts.

Dang. Man, that's a lucky bloke who's got that duo as his starting wideouts. I'm jealous.

Re: Owens and Moss

Funny thing about my leagues. I put them both on the "do not draft" list. I thought I was playing it smart by not having these guys on my teams. Who knew they were both going to get their heads out of their..... and play great.

Yeah, seriously. Both have been model teammates. I wonder which of them will go off first?

Dont tell simon I said so but probably TO He seems a lot more tense, emotional than Moss. Moss is like a robot most of the time. Wind me up and I catch TD's

Cool Re: Owens and Moss

I think Moss got drafted in the 4th round in our draft. I could have had him, but went for Marshawn Lynch, instead. These decisions that seem almost insignificant when you draft usually determine our fate.

i dont know who would go off first .... i really hope neither of them do

though i think the bigger question is, who can do more harm to their team that way ..... i think the Pats can still win without a happy Moss, how would Dallas do ?

now that i think about it, i think TO is more likely to go off actually ..... #1 he has a history of it ... #2 i think Moss has stronger vets around him to help keep him in line and focused .... Brady - Bruschi - Seau - Vrabel none of them would take his crap and he knows it

Dallas would have major problems, yeah. Brady has shown in the past he has many more places to spread the wealth.
And true, there are more younger players on Dallas. And the vets dont all seem to be that vocal. At least, not the big hefty ones.

Re: Owens and Moss

Can the Patriots win without Moss, happy or otherwise?

When New England won their three SBs, who were their WRs? Can anyone name any wideout that played on those championship teams other than maybe Troy Brown or Deion Branch? I'm sure Simon could, but my point is the system relies mainly on Brady. It doesn't matter who the WRs are (including pass-catching TEs and LBs like Vrabel) as long as they are disciplined in running their routes and the O-line protects, Brady will find them!

Now, you give Brady a weapon like Randy Moss and he'd be a much better QB but what if you give him Welker AND Stallworth on top of that? BOY HOWDY and HOLY COW!!! You've just given the league's BEST QB (who is still approaching his prime, believe it or not) THE weapons of MASS DESTRUCTION!!! Is it any wonder that the running backs this year in New England aren't amounting to SQUAT? If you play fantasy football like I do, New England's RBs aren't exactly "tier-one" quality... as long as they can blitz-protect, they can be valuable but Brady is the fulcrum of this team!

Sorry for the diatribe, but the short answer to the question of whether the Patriots can win without Moss is: YES!

P.S. Take Owens away from Dallas and ask the question: can Dallas win without TO? Careful now with the answer!!!

Come to think of it, Brady and Belichek are robots too. Not much passion or emotion.
