Re: GoTeamsGo Football League Week 2 Discussion

This morning during practice, I had a sit-down with Donald Driver. He said that he doesn't like the set-up for the Gladiators and wishes to leave the team.

In response to his desires, I am formally placing WR, Donald Driver on the market. I am interested in acquiring a decent quarterback in exchange for Driver and possibly one of my featured running-backs.

To tell you all the truth, I am not looking for anything that outrageous right now.

Well...you will be playing at the Bat Cave (soon to be the Pink Taco Palace!)...so being the Home Team gives me a 6 point edge.

I'm not sure how to do that. Ask EmpireWF or Lefty Noob might even know his way around Yahoo!

Re: GoTeamsGo Football League Week 2 Discussion

You guys are on Yahoo! right? Well, click on the match-up page. There should be a Points column that is split into two columns: Projected and Actual. Obviously, Projected is the one you want.

For example, the team of mine I'm looking at now is project to score 60 points in our league (vs. 56 for my opponent), and Carson Palmer's slated for 16 points. Our scoring system is probably a lot different from yours, but it gives you an idea. Let me know if you still have trouble finding it.

Just check the match-up pages and it'll show you a projected score.

Cool Re: GoTeamsGo Football League Week 2 Discussion

Thank you Jags defense...I think if Pittsburgh would scored a TD at the end of that game and gotten 7 points, I would have lost, right Empire?

I'm in 5 leagues and I was 4-1 this past week. The only game I lost was in an 18 team league. I got too cute and benched Jason Witten and put in Clayton on the Ravens because they were playing the Raiders. That move cost me my game.

Although I always give this advice, I hardly ever follow it: And that is: Just keep your best players in your lineup at all times reagardless of matchup. It's getting late early for me in that league - I'm 0-2 and like MJH Mark, I have Culpepper. I posted a message to the league that I would accept a ham sandwich for Culpepper but that was probably asking too much.

Re: GoTeamsGo Football League Week 2 Discussion

I'll just take the bread for Culpepper!

As you may have noticed, I added Rex Grossman to my roster in hopes of him being my savior for the season. Fat chance, right? Anyway, I am looking to trade both Daunte Culpepper and Mark Brunell for a quarterback of equal or better value.

Equal or better value huh?...you are sitting on a number of runners...you want equal value...offer some value in return...

I already had Rex Grossman in that league. I'm not thrilled staring at his 43 points on my bench this past week. But this week, I'm sticking with Culpepper against the Titans. I just know if I were to bench him, he'll go nuts. What about you MJH? Who are you going to start?

Re: GoTeamsGo Football League Week 2 Discussion

I'm planning to leave the dirty work to the coach.

Here are the probabilities he sent me earlier this week:
Probabilities:
Daunte Culpepper--+2
Mark Brunell--+3
Rex Grossman--+4

I'm not really in the mood from another poor performance from Culpepper.
