Cool Markakis, Ducherer, Calero

Is Nick Markakis (Orioles) available in any of your leagues? I just picked him up. Look at his #'s the last month. Since he's been inserted in the lineup regularly he's been awesome. Also, Houston Street got hurt last night -you guys might want to grab Ducherer and/or Calero. Of course, these are just my hunches, make moves at your own risk.

Re: Markakis, Ducherer, Calero

Markakis has been batting very well, lately. He is definitely a huge contributer to the Orioles' recent success, as to your fantasy baseball team. A late bloomer this year but making instant impact at 22 years old. Grab him while he is still hot!

Thanks for the fantasy baseball lookout, ThePundit.

Markakis by the Numbers: .625 BA, 1HR in his last 8AB

If anyone hears more about Street's injury and how long he will be out, please post here. I have to set my lineup for next week - today. Only 2 weeks left in the regular season.

Actually, according to the Oakland Tribune, Street will be out "at least" a few days.

Re: Markakis, Ducherer, Calero

Guess your original thoughts were correct Pundit because Street has gone on the DL.

Better look into those relief pitchers if anyone here has Street on their team.

Cool Re: Markakis, Ducherer, Calero

Well I put my money where my mouth is. I put in Markakis ( waived Jay Gibbons - he's obviously still hurt) and Calero in my lineup this week. Didn't have room for Ducherer and I don't like the fact he came in with a 4 run lead yesterday. So I opted for Calero...I moved back into 2nd from 4th and only a few games separate 2nd through 4th with this week and next week left....2nd gets me more $ and a first round bye.......Maybe it's my year: I was losing WHIP 1.17 to 1.16 going into last night's game and the guy I played had mussina and Schilling. His final WHIP was 1.18. Every point counts.

Re: Markakis, Ducherer, Calero

Good luck in your pursuit to win more money and rank higher in Fantasy Baseball, ThePundit. We have had some incidents this baseball season over Shawn Chacon but I think we have both passed that. I hope that you will forgive me for my sins earlier this year, and listen to my advice.

Haha, maybe you could use some of Lefty Noob's leftover luck from last week!

Re: Markakis, Ducherer, Calero

Markakis hit three homeruns in yesterday's game.

I'm looking forward to watching him be productive in future games. If he continues to play this well, he could be the Orioles' franchise player in a few years.

Re: Markakis, Ducherer, Calero

As a fellow Greek Brother to Nick Markakis....... I'd just like to say...

Thanks man....I always dreamed about another Greek on the highlight reel.... (that wasnt involved in doping, sexual assualt or a lucky Euro 2004 win)....

hehe, unbelievable...
I picked him up in my fantasy league just in time....

Welcome to GoTeamsGo Triovxxx. Mike Sweeney is getting hot again also. Although he's not Greek, he can still hit.
